Case Study
OBJECTIVE
Adept were (and are) ahead of the game when it comes to video. They came to us knowing they needed video content and wanted to work with us to find out what was best for them. They are an incredibly forward-thinking, progressive company. They are also a business that runs across multiple varied sites, undertaking many types of work in the facilities management sector.
The objectives were:
- to increase internal communication across the company, to increase awareness of the management team and sections of the business, celebrating wins with the full team
- to become an industry leader when it comes to discussing topics that affect the Facilities Management sector
- to become an educator in the sector, acknowledging they are falling short as a business and a sector and encouraging the whole industry to improve.
STRATEGY
The video and audio podcast was launched with the marketing team taking control, hosting it
at Yorkshire Podcast Studios. Alex the host remains in the chair and is joined by a multiple of co-hosts and guests, with some joining remotely into the broadcast.
Topics such as modern slavery and the selling-on of security shifts online have been covered, alongside coverage of positive measures Adept have put in place such as their work with the Down’s Syndrome Association to employ two new members of staff.
They have highlighted areas of their business that other staff may know about, such as their dog handling section.
Each episode develops Adept as a progressive business that is constantly thinking of how it can improve and how the industry it sits within needs to do better.
RESULTS
Adept have developed their podcast throughout the 18 months plus that they have been working with YPS.
Their brand awareness has increased and other companies in the sector have responded to the podcasts they are producing.
Internally, staff are getting to know the management team a lot more. They’re not exactly famous, but getting there!
Feedback from Adept has focussed on how peers within the industry have noted that they are making moves to change the way the sector works and want to make a positive change.
